Is the curriculum at the VAschools similar to that of the Ministry of Education and Training? What is the curriculum like?

– The curriculum ensures compliance with that of the Ministry of Education (regarding the content of subjects, study hours, and exams, etc.)In addition, the school also implements a bilingual teaching model

* Morning: Vietnamese language program according to the curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Training.

In particular, 5-year-olds will be introduced to some sounds and basic arithmetic operations to prepare them for first grade.

* Afternoon: ESL (English as a Second Language) program.

– The ESL program helps students use English as a second language fluently and confidently in daily activities.

– At preschool age, they are mainly taught English songs and listen to simple English sentences.

– Foreign and Vietnamese teachers teach in class together.

When the children graduate, where will they continue their education?

After graduating from kindergarten, the child can continue his/her education in primary schools within VAschools (in District 11) or other public and private schools.

What can students typically learn in Pre-English classes? How can they be so receptive when they are very young?

– Students still participate in all subjects, and teachers will employ specific methods to teach the children (for example, using gestures, pictures, body language, etc.) – The school primarily places the children in an English environment to familiarize them with the language, along with native English-speaking teachers. They learn to listen to common phrases, speak about objects in the classroom, recognize various images and colors, and practice pronunciation of basic words and numbers.

The younger the age, the easier it is to absorb a foreign language and achieve more accurate pronunciation.
