VIETNAMESE AMERICAN KINDERGARTEN, PRIMARY, LOWER AND UPPER SECONDARY SCHOOL DISTRICT 11
Establishment:
In June 2006, Vietnamese American Primary School District 11 was established.
In 2008, Vietnamese American Lower Secondary School District 11 was established.
In 2011, Viet My Anh Upper Secondary School District 11 and Vietnamese American Kindergarten District 11 were established.
Scale of operation:
In its first academic year, Vietnamese American Primary School had only 52 students from Grade 1 to Grade 3. After 2 years of operation, the school expanded to become Vietnamese American Primary – Secondary School and is the main headquarters of the Vietnamese American Schools – VAschools. It provides 4 levels of education: Kindergarten, Primary School, and Lower and Upper Secondary School in a comprehensive educational environment: Intellectual education – Moral education – Physical education – Aesthetic education.

Upper secondary school: Perfecting knowledge and giving wings to dreams
Classrooms and multi-purpose rooms are modern and equipped with projectors, audiovisual equipment, and practical experiment tools. The playground is spacious and airy, complete with a swimming pool and an artificial football field.
The school ensures nutritious meals with dietary standards, diverse menus, a clean dining area, and a one-way kitchen system to ensure food safety. The transportation system and boarding facilities are convenient and safe.
Established in 2011, Vietnamese American Kindergarten District 11 started with 5 classrooms and over 39 students. By May 2018, the student population had grown to 350, maintaining a maximum class size of 18 students for Nursery and 25 for Kindergarten.
The school boasts 15 fully-equipped classrooms and multipurpose rooms such as a health room, music room, and library. The spacious playground, including large and small grass areas, and sports facilities, caters to the daily needs of over 350 students. In addition, to enhance safety, the school installed an online camera system in classrooms, at the school gates, and on the playground for real-time monitoring by the administration and parents.
The school has a team of over 50 carefully selected teachers and staff, ensuring a stable and sufficient number of teachers for each class group. All teachers have a high level of expertise in early childhood education, with 95% meeting the standards. They particularly excel in specialized experience for each age group, consistently enhancing the overall quality of comprehensive childcare and education.
Following the “Child-Centered” education philosophy, the school encourages children to showcase their abilities to discover and nurture their innate talents. The administrators together with the teachers and staff of the school always try their best to take care and teach the children according to the best educational methods. English education follows the Montessori method, incorporating activities like singing, storytelling, and games with native English-speaking teachers daily. Children participate in various talent activities, extracurricular events, and field trips throughout the academic year.
Vietnamese American Kindergarten District 11 organizes numerous festivals, events, and educational activities focusing on life skills, self-service habits, and character development through emotional and social skill development. Particularly, students at the highest level of Kindergarten are thoroughly prepared with positive attitudes and readiness skills to enter Primary School, becoming well-rounded citizens.
In the 14th academic year (2019–2020), Vietnamese American Kindergarten, Primary, Lower and Upper Secondary School District 11 marked significant growth, with over 1,000 students, affirming its quality of education and parents’ trust.
With continuous efforts for improvement and development, Vietnamese American Kindergarten, Primary, Lower and Upper Secondary School District 11 aims to provide the best educational environment for students to develop both intellectually and emotionally, ensuring they are well-prepared for international universities.
